Hi everyone, in need of some advice. I have a 20vt, under hard acceleration in 1st or 2nd feels very responsive but then power fades, i then fitted a boost gauge and found when under hard acceleration in 1st and 2nd boost will peak at approx 0.8 -0.9 bar then drop down to approx 0.5 bar, i thought maybe the elec boost controller was faulty so fitted a bleed valve to check if my theory was correct but still the same, any ideas???? I am a tech so no need to use lamans terms. Any advice would be very appreciated

I take it the car is chipped? You shouldn't be seeing .9 bar boost in 1st and 2nd otherwise using the standard EBV. You may have a boost leak that's only opening on sustained boost. Check every hose to do with the turbo/intercooler and tighten all the clips. I've had about four boost leaks throughout the years and each one has been a bit of a PITA to find!
