A lot of red there!!! Need to get some paint for the odd bit coming off my engine cover.

Put some ATP injector cleaner in my car earlier this week. Car is running a lot better. Really a noticeable difference.

Doing the plugs, lambda sensor, cleaning the maf sensor, new dump valve, and fitting the boost sensor.

Maybe next week at some point I'll fit the gtec1 chip. Anyone point me to a guide on how to install it?

Easy mate.
Go into the passenger footwell,unplug and remove the ECU which is bolted down (6mm bolts/nuts IIRC).
When you get it out,open it up and remove the OEM chip.
Replace this with the GTECH 1 (It will look identical to the one you are replacing).
Just make sure it goes in the right way otherwise you could ben the chip pins.
Peeps may say to wear an earth strap for risk of damagin said chip.......just touch a sink or radiator before you handle the chip and it will be fine)

Ok. Just wondering, will the chip make any difference considering I have a manual boost controller? I will limit it to 1.1 bar

If you are using the chip,I would be tempted to sling the boost controller and let the chip take care of the boost.

How will it take care of the boost without a controller? Unless you mean I find a used boost controller to go back in? The one that was in my car was knackered. Hence the manual controller.

just replace the knackered EBV for one that is working
If you keep the manual one,just set it so the max it can boost to is 1.2 Bar and happy days

You mean the EBV? Put a wanted up on Fccuk, you'll have one in a day or two. I've got two, however my car is overboosting - one may be faulty.
