Hi,
On my Bravo T-JET 120 I noticed a cable with an orange connector bound to the bar above the cooling fan. It's unconnected.
It didn't bother me very much until I saw pictures in magazines, everywhere the cable being connected to some blue gadget.
Is there something missing from my car? I bought it brand new a month ago.

Its part of the airbag wiring, that wire is or should be connected to as you say a blue block, which is a crash sensor.

If it had been a problem then you would have your airbag warning light on.

As a matter of safety DO NOT PROBE INTO IT OR CONNECT ANYTHING TO IT LIKE A MULTIMETER as this could set off the airbags.

By all means go to the dealer and put your mind at rest.

Thanks, I suspected that it was the airbag sensor, although the airbag light wasn't on.
Anyway, I asked the dealer and he told me, that it's normal. They don't put these sensors an every model. There are other sensors around the car, I guess.

Throw it open to the floor - anyone else not got a blue sensor block attached to their wire?

Everyone, go check your wire - and check your brake fluid, steering fluid, coolant and screen wash as well as the bonnet catch being free while you're at it!

i dont have a blue block on mine! but i noticed that ages ago.. just didnt really think anything of it since its not throughing up any errors.. i suspected it might of been a temperature sensor for the on board computer to show you outside temp..

Thanks for bringing this up, mrjingles. When we picked up our new M-jet 2.0 Sport I had a good look under the bonnet, and that cable was just hanging there (not fixed as in your pic)so I asked what it was - and they didn't know!
Different wiring for different markets, I suspect.

Ok, thank you guys very much. Knowing there are other owners without this sensor gives me peace of mind (y)

I was afraid that at the dealer's they forget to do some part of a pre-sell procedure (being it a car on display).
