Hey everyone new to these forums...well I have been lurking around for a few days but first time posting
Looking to buy a Fiat Stilo and thought I would ask more experienced members before I went ahead. At the minute I am sharing my dads '05 focus with him but have never liked it. It is a great car to drive, 1.6 TDCi so not too slow or anything (not that I am a boy racer either) but as I'm sure you will appreciate you would never be able to love a car unless it was truly yours!
I am currently in Uni but last year I stayed in student housing this year looking to travel hence looking to buy my own car! Anyway enough background on me...
Really love the Bright blue 3dr Stilo, (have seen it be called polar blue?), and I want it in diesel so 1.9 JTD engine for bit of power don't mind if it is 115-150 BHP as I would look to get it remapped somewhere down the line and trim level doesn't matter too much. I live in NI and haven't seen one of these for weeks.There are plenty in mainland England on gumtree, I found one that albeit needed some work but was only £750!
Only have came across two in my neck of the woods;
One was £1750 but it is petrol
Then found this one but it was too late, guy on phone said it was sold for something like £3950 which is a bit much for me if I am honest. At that price I could buy a focus or golf! (Sorry if that offends anyone lol)
*Sorry had to remove links as I need 5 posts before I can put them in*
Apart from price the car was perfect for me,low mileage and everything seems to have been kept very well.
What I want to know is before I buy a Stilo is there any year in particular that would be best? I would probably only want to go to £2000 so would I be limited to 2002/2003? And also I seen alot of people saying they have loads of extra techie stuff in theirs but this isn't the same for everyone so is their that big a difference to the trim levels?
I can't wait to get one, ideally looking for one with low mileage and been kept good is there anything I should look out for in particular and am I being too demanding for my £2k?
Thanks for any replies and sorry if I rattled on lol
