Hi all,

I have a 2015 Scudo van that has been converted into a micro camper. My issue is that when we lock up at night and are in the van we can't get out again through the back doors. The handle to release the door doesn't release the latch.
I have to climb out over the seats and exit through the front doors to go out and oppen the rear door.
Sometimes it doesn't happen, but it does and that is the problem.
I have found that turning the rear lock to the leftbefore getting in helps to allow it to lock/unlock inside, but not foolproof.

Any ideas???

I had a 2010 LWB Scudo 8 seater with a tail gate and a micro switch that you work to release it, when it started to fail as you describe I replaced that, but in the end I had to fit the actual electric lock as it had got rusted internally, so it only worked intermittantly.
Apart from that with yours being a commercial originally, once locked if front unlocked it usually leaves back locked for security of stock/goods.

I suggest get access to the lock and give it a very good bath with WD40. I have recently managed to ressurect our Panda rear lock. I did power wash it first but its settled back down and is working 100% after the WD did its stuff. I suspect Bugsymike is correct b ut sometimes the locks just start sticking because of a little dust and drud build up. It does not take much! Dont leave it as its quite a safety issue being able to get out with fuel, gas and batteries on board!
