Technical little niggle here, door gets stuck whilst opening

hi all, got a 2002 3dr 1.8 stilo
and when i open drivers door from either side, it has develeoped a small fault that wernt there originally, basically, you pull the handle and the door almost opens, but then you got to give it a real hard tug and then it actually opens, if that makes any sense, would greatly appreciate some help

try applying some lubricant (ha! I just love saying that.. on the moving parts of the door lock obviously)

sparing any dryness - your lock might be misaligned (or cable actuating the lock might be slipping out .. although i don’t see how that would cause partial opening.. but anything is possible)
