I did wonder how to change the headlight bulbs on a Panda (100HP), but it felt too nerdy to ask the Salesgirl.
One dipped bulb has just gone in the Sportka, typical just before it's about to be chopped in, but according to the manual it's a simple job; just unscrew one...er...screw, to loosen a hatch in the wheel arch to gain access. Easy job to do in my lunchbreak, shouldn't take five minutes...
"Undo one screw..."
Now then, I f***ing would undo the f***ing one screw if there was one f***ing screw to undo, inf***ingstead of the three f***ing rivets holding the f***ing cover in place in the f***king wheel arch. F*** it.
I managed to pull the said cover back and get the clip off the back of the light housing, but couldn't get the hard cover off the back of the unit. (I say I, a workmate good with spanners helped me).
Next attack was taking the grille and front section of the bumper off, to winkle the whole light housing out. Except the light will not be winkled. This light is not for moving.
It would appear the whole wing/wheelarch moulding has to come off. With visions of clips flying off with an amusing snapping sound I shied away from attempting this.
An enquiry to Mr Ford Service Desk ("Well, you designed the f***ing thing") coming up. I'm sure they'll be happy to do it for free...
