I can say with some certainty the fire extinguishers do actually work having used one to put out a slight mishap involving me and a welding kit (not on the car btw) Then again a 1kg unit will put out about 2 ltrs of petrol easly as long as you can see the seat of the fire and actually know how to use the extinguisher propperly (IE drive the fire back with a rapid sweeping motion to the back corner) however once out there is still a chance of reignition unlike with AFFF but that doesnt have the instant knock down power of dry powder is a real pain to use properly and you need more of it...

the same ANAF extinguishers are been banged out by the local caravan dealership for £19.99

ISOCOMP ABC 40 Potassium Bicarbonate does have a slight laxative effect then again having put a rather large fire out at work involving an oil drum sized pitch kettle with 2 X 9kg powder units and 9 ltrs of foam i didnt have any undue lavvy moments afterwards :D

should come to southend, theres cheap shops in town which sell most of that stuff for that price, and its always for sale in there.

and the cheap shops just have young workers on tills and sticky label price tags... and sometimes the 29p labels just accidently get stuck onto the 1.99 stuff

Well, even if I wanted to lower myself to Chav standards, the two 5 litre cans of oil I bought from Lidls yesterday were priced using the barcodes printed on their sides. No chance of price switching there, so I take it the Chavs keep away from Lidls as a result :)woot:)

£14 for 10 litres of reasonable basic 10w40 oil is pretty good going anyway. Cheers for the recommendation Paul (y)

Welcome :)

I got ripped off on the first aid kit though, it is suppoed to be £3.99 according to the website and in-store. Teaches me for asking my sister to get them for me....;)
