Is it possible to upgrade a built in laptop graphics card.

The ATI Radeon 3100 card thats in my machine is holding back the rest of the machine. Is it at all possible to upgrade it to a newer ATI card, I presume it has to be from the same series, and be suitable for the processer, which is a AMD Turion X2

People might be wondering why i dont just buy a newer laptop or PC, but i dont have the money at the moment. Ive just upgraded the Memory from 2gb to 4gb for a cost of £10 and got a 500GB hard drive for £30. :D

without an motherboard replacement,no

but if it uses a mxm graphics card (desktop for laptop) you might be able to, but these appear in the high end specs, from what i can see being a 3100 it is on the lower end, so sorry no luck there (n)
