Laptop At ALDI

Came out sunday but i can get a hold of 1, deciding if i should go for it or not.

can't find a link but here's the roughspec.

1.5GHZ Centrino duo 667mhz fsb

2gig ram

160gig HD

TV-out, freeview with remote, ariel etc.

intel x3100 media accelerator graphics

8x multi layer dvd burner

built in webcam

they've took it off their site now, looks good, Fingerprint sensor for security too lol.

just in 2 mind weather to go for it or not, sound any good for 499?

sounds interesting, don't think it will have had freeview although i could be wrong, 1k plus laptops in curries didn't have freeview which is handy for those college breaks when i can't find a network lol

Sound decent for that spec. U wont found spec like that in Curry at that price. If your using it for college work/studies then it very good. But if for gaming then keep looking as u really need a good graphic card.

not really into gaming, for a games laptop i'd need serious cash, which i can't justify spending on a laptop.

do you know how i can find out the size of the graphics card or more info on it, it doesn't mention it on the leaflet, must be shared

don't. Bother its a load of ****. The celeron is a big pile of rubbish amongst other things.

Meh. Its vot freeview, so what, looks **** stretched to HD anmways.

Yes go for it as said it is a good spec as long as it aint a celeron. 2Gb of memory is nice as is the rest of it and a bargain at £499. If I had more of a need for one I'd get it myself and max out teh credit card :devil:.

sounds a good deal although the processor is not as quick as some others but good RAM and HD. I would buy!

I liked the look of this in the paper, just don't have the ££ just now but in the new year I will.

BTW the freeview is just a £20 usb jobbie.

yeah i saw the adaptors on ebay today.

as for the descision, i deciding the money is better spent on other things, this laptop does me very well for what i need.
