It's a bit graphic, but a petition has been set up to back the kid, even as some sort of moral support it would be good to show that we're on his side

It's why I am pretty fuming about it. Usually I don't care about stuff like this, but the cops seem to be dragging their heels. I don't know what the situation is now though.

Update:

Seven teenagers, including a 15-year-old girl, were charged this morning with the beating and robbery of a 17-year-old High school senior
Only one of the teens, Raymond Palomino, 17,was charged as an adult, with one count of robbery and one count of aggravated battery for the attack
The remaining teens, two 16-year-old boys, three 15-year-old boys and a girl were all cited in juvenile delinquency petitions on the same charges, identities were not made public because they are juveniles.

For an attack like this, I think it's disgusting only one was charged as an adult.

Terrible. however, they are asians who done the beating, so this isnt a racial crime, and attacks like this happen daily. so i wonder why this one has made so much publicity.

quite simple,the visual medium brings it home to people
a news story of a guy getting beaten by 6 people would pass by on most newsdays
seeing it happen is a different matter
