Well, i go away for a long weekend and return to find my car has been keyed, once on bonnet and once along the rear quater pannle, joyous. What exactly are my options? Just take it to boddy shops and get quotes? Am sat here seething feeling like i need some sort of revenge. Scratches are deep, not sure if dented, 2 stressed to look atm.

Whats wrong with the morons. I guess getting some quotes would be a wise idea as i imagine its something thats going to need to be done properly to look right, as the panels are so big. If it helps, i managed to get a new bonnet and wing sprayed, laquered and fitted for 250. I think the parts came to about 100quid. But then as its the rear panel, im guessing that that would be more of an pain to do. Just shop around really...Do you have any idea who might be responsible?

Rear quarter panel is part of the chassis, it has to be resprayed. If you have metallic paint, you really have no choice but to go to a body shop. Because metallic paint can never be matched 100%, nearly half the car has to be expertly resprayed to blend the paint into the rest of the car (several hundred £££s).
If you chose a non-metallic colour, you are in luck. Matching paint exactly is much easier and you have a better chance of making a good job of it yourself (use an aerosol can or spray gun rather than touch up pen). If the scratch is particularly deep, you may need just a spot of body filler in the crack, applied with your finger and finished with a very fine sandpaper before painting. Even if you go professionally, non-metallics will cost considerably less to repair since less of the car needs spraying.

Hi Benn, I feel for you because this morning I too found my car has been keyed from front passenger door to rear door on that side. Why pick on my little blue Fiat?
Good to get advice from here, but seems it will not be cheap to fix as it is a metallic colour - "live blue".
