Hi everyone,
is there a receiver for the remote central locking signal in the car? My key fob stopped working suddenly and cannot lock/unlock the car remotely. Car is starting fine so no issues with the immobiliser. Went to car key garage and said the key is transmitting fine. Additionally, I tried to reprogram the key with MES but the body computer couldn't recognise the key.
So, is there a receiver somewhere in the car that could have stopped working?
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Hi there!
Although 10 years have passed... I have face exactly the same problem with the key and the MES. Did you manage to figure it out?

I don't think the key programming feature on MES has anything to do with the remote locking transmitter and receiver.

Presumably there is a remote locking receiver on the body computer

Unfortunately I couldn't fix the key by myself with MES, and took it to a different car key garage, where they had a new key board programmed to my car. Has been working fine ever since. Apparently the key went bad, the receiver in the body computer was ok.

Is your key anything like this?

No, it is the older blue key
