The metal part of my key broke of from the wireless/plastic part, so I bought a new key (plastic + metal part):

I got the blade part cut to match the old blade and put all electronics from old key into new key.

Wireless lock/unlocking works, but the car does not start when turning the key. I'm pretty sure the Immobiliser prevents the car from starting. Why is that, when I used the old keys electronics?

Hi,
Either you have not transferred the transponder chip to the new housing or have damaged it. Hold the two halves of the old casing allong side the new key and see if the engine starts. If it does the transponder is still in the old key. It can look like a small glass tube with copper colour inside or an odd shaped plastic block .

Arh. I only switched the circuit board. I guess I haven't replaced the chip then.
Will give it a try :)
