Technical Key fob

Hi,

I have a Punto Eleganza MK2b(?) 2005 (not the Grande) and the key fob now unlocks the car and locks it repeatedly. The fob is also flashing red. I'm assuming it's a battery issue and just needs replacing? If this is the case, can I change the battery myself and if so, how?

if the fob flash's as you press the button - it means its sent the signal to open

If it aint coming on = Battery flat / a problem bascally

The button on these remotes degrades with age, check the button rubber hasn't gotten stuck and is now holding the lock unlock button down
