Hi all, firstly the story of my problem, car failed to start due to engine ecu failure, replaced ecu and bcm from another car and now its running perfect again, with changing this i now have no central locking from the fob (it works when inserting the key) hand new key programmed but still nothing, today replaced the bcm back to the old one and the old key fob works but obviously i cant start the car as they are not coded to each other, i do have multiscan but i cant see anything that will let me select remote locking on the bcm is there something im missing, part numbers are the same on bcm and same age vehicle. Thanks in advance

Hello,

The central locking and immobilizer are two different functions on the 500 / Ducato (and probably a couple of other models that share the same keyfob, too).

You need a registered MES version, a cable (and eventually adapter - to be confirmed on the multiecuscan.net website for you vehicle model / year), all of the keyfobs AND the FIAT CODE card or number (I got mine printed free of charge at the dealership upon proof of ownership) to code it here:

I've not needed to, but as above

It's 2 different THINGS: Immob and RCL

Those that have tried seem to think it's all within MES

BUT YOU NEED THE CODE

(my local locksmith finds the Engine Immob code via the OBD port.. So that handy.. But I haven't had new RCL carried over - Yet)
