One comment.

I see you have no heat shield on you 4 branch manifold. Keep an eye on the top back side of the radiator. On 'B's with the original manifold and no heat shield it is not uncommon to get temperatures high enough to melt the wiring to the fan control box etc.

You could make your own custom shield to protect the delicate bits but still leave the lovely 4 branch manifild visible.

Hi Guys n Girls, :)
A box of goodies arrived yesterday that I did not think would come, so cheered me up some after my surgery.
Brand New front fog lamps, that surprising were purchased a lot cheaper than seen advertised elsewhere. :)
A trip to my parents home where the B is resting and a few pictures.

A question for you guys, since my rebuild, I have not managed to line up my rear tailgate perfectly. It seems to be sitting slightly high around the lock area. although I feel I may have had this problem prior.

What kind of clearance gap do you guys have around yr boot and the hood cover lid?

OFF TOPIC! but any doctors in the house?

It was my first visit to my doctor after my surgery yesterday and all is going well.:)

Hand and forearm are now in a fixed cast for another 4 weeks and then I,ll get a removable one.

This is my second operation to repair the broken bone in my wrist, so hoping all goes well.
Last year I had an operation where they tried to hold the fractured scaphoid with pins and bone graft from my arm but after a few months it split again leaving me with a 7mm gap and split bone.

This time they have taken bone graft from my hip bone and secured the scaphoid with a screw.

I can say I have no pain so wishing all is going in the right direction.

Heres the xrays from last year , up until today..

Got the OK to drive carefully and the hand is feeling good, so went to visit my friend and leather trimmer.

He's been working on my new headlining for the hardtop and also we experimented with the airbag and covered it with a dimpled leather to match my seats. Looks good so far but will look better when I get the barchetta logo painted onto it. :D also covered the top trim of the doors with leather which looks good too.

Some pics..

Damnn your car looks sweet.
Too bad for your arm, you won't be able to drive it... or do you?:D

Hi Oli,
Thanks! But yes yr right, its difficult to drive her at the mo., i,m OK with our other family car the nissan qashquai, although the B might be dangerous.

I,ll get those parts of yours in the post this week too.

Nice one KC, I've got one too. Did you get the cablo too? As I found it was a pain in the ass to source. eventually found the same one elswere on the cable-loom of the breaker car.

Getting the holes drilled right and putting riverts is not an easy 5min job.
(n)
Did you found the right windstop for it too?

Been searching for a while now and then one came up on Ebay, from Italy, starting at 175euro with no bids, offered a buy it now with shipping to Cyprus at 170euro

The guy says it is new and with instructions and believe it has the wiring.

subwoofer originale per FIAT BARCHETTA

cod. art. 51739137

il sub e' compreso dell' attacco femmina originale e fusibile

Oli, my plan is to use the box as a mold and then make another which will work around my roll bars, but will see how it looks when i have it.

May have it up for sale again when i,ve managed to build my box. :)

I have the original subwoofer box fitted in mine. I gutted it out and put 2 infinity mid-range speakers in. Securing the box and feeding the cables through the car was a pain. Drilling the car made me nervous.

I got my speaker box used from Ebay but they don't come up for sale that often. Its a great sound improvement but adding a subwoofer would be even better.

Hi Nick,

Yes! , My plan is to just use it for rear mid sound, I will more than likely just use the box for a mould to make another unit and put my own components in.
I will use an 8 or 10inch sub and already prepared the area with the Dynamat.

Will use a capacitor for power or maybe run another slim battery in the rear boot.

Gives me something to do for when my hand is better. :D

I got lucky and bought mine 2 streets away from a doctor who had a barchetta in the past. Had it for 80€:D, but had to make the cable myself
