A few pics after a nice clean.:D

I'm happy with the look of the new windstop and sound setup, next project is some new carpet to the rear panel behind the seats and some carpet mats.

My new intake and throttle body is close to finish, just some more tweaking, final polishing and it will be on its way to me. :)

looks great.
So you will be fitting it to a standard engine?
I'm curious about the performance gain over stock manifold.

Hiya Oli,

Yes! the plan is to first test the new intake and see what gains have been made.

Of course it has been port matched to the new modified head so should work better once fitted there but just to get an overall idea.

Your B really is very nice, I'm impressed! Mine is a long way from being like yours and I don't have the skills either to achieve what you have done.

But I've read through a lot of your posts and will follow some of your tips like boot release mechanism so thanks for those.

So I have a question, the rear light lenses on mine are faded, yours look cherry red in the photos above, are they new or did you tint them?

The rear lights of the B will fade over time if left to weather but yes I have changed mine to those from a newer model.
Best to cover or garage the B from the Sun or Rain when not in use.

Although I do have a few spare lights that are in reasonable condition should you or anyone want them.

Some owners in the netherlands paint those headlights with motip blacklight red spray.
.Looks awesome dark red, makes them like new again.

More great work from Dave (Mr Fixit) :)

Money in Cyprus...with three doors is it a precursor to the Hyundai Veloster?

Another entry closer to the 1,000!:)

Hiya all,

Been a while since my last post , but finally got my rear glass windstop made.
Here's some pictures of the fitting.

Its a tempered/toughened glass and has the same colored tint as the rest of the car.

Its sealed in with a rubberized sealant and looks very OMP.. :D

Just registered from Denmark. Going to pickup mynew 1997 Barchetta in 9 days.

i have read all 67 pages and seen all you have done with your car. The colour is great - good choice til pick a darker metallic.

If it could be bought i would buy the roll bars with the windstop - looks great (y)

So that's all your disposable income accounted for until 2022 at least...

Actually i think my car i good looking just the way it is - but rollbars with glass windstop and a new stereo with sd card would be nice.

Rest of the savings should go to leather seats for my Alfa 159!

Hiya Guys, :) Sorry! don't log on to much these days, The B is resting under his cover and I've been busy decorating our new house..
Thanks for the great comments on my B mods..

The windstop is a nice feature, and being made in glass adds to the original look.
I did experiment with some acrylic sheet but looked cheap and scratched easy.
Most of my modifications are carefully thought out and gradually implemented.

I,m working on the tuning side of things now and Dave (Mr Fixit) from UK is working on a spare cylinder head of mine which is being prepped, ported and gas-flowed along with some mildly tuned camshafts and a newly designed intake manifold.
There will be some nice shiny polished aluminum in the engine bay so the overall look should be great. :D

Its not a rush job so will slowly get it all together. If you need any advice with anything just ask and I,m here. (y)

Good luck with your B's, they are a fantastic little car..

And thanks for the link for the B for sale, will have to go and have a look.
Funny! 5 years ago I was the only one, now I believe to know of at least five :p

Hiya all :)

Had some bits over at the trimmers that I left for him to do in his own time and in a random pop in to the shop had a nice surprise :D

New leather covered handles and a modification arm rest for the driver door that was made from using a right hand handle and the pull cut away.

I have still some more parts there like the handbrake/ gear lever gaiter and center box that will be re done but here's some pics of the new parts.
