Styling KC3 Project Silver

New front wishbones that I will paint red before fitting (underside detailing). Inside lower door black plastic speaker trim DS & PS (Gold dust). Seatbelt female red button part (Cant think of the name) x2. Rear disk brake shields, replacement rear ABS sensor, rear swing arm that I will paint red before fitting. Heater matrix, window white plastic runner followers, DS electric door lock (new) and a load of other little new bits that I have picked up over the last year or so but cant remember off the top of my head LOL . The new parts bin is full so I must take a look and see what I have forgotten.

Nothing real fun like engine mods but just a load more mint bits that all help bring the car back up to A1.

:slayer: Keep us updated on the turbo mod.

Cool! Doc, Lots of goodies for the B, I'd like some of those window guides too. Re the speaker panels, I have a treatment that brings them up like new. Gtecniq C4 permanent trim restorer.. Have done my interior and looks fab.. :D..

Managed to get the Brembo's here to Cyprus and just looking into those wosener pistons which i think i,m going down that route now. more BOOST! :D

Looking to source a new variator, any recomendations on where i should get one.
gather there was some uprated/ better ones around..

Ok, HIYA!

Have had some spare time and some spare cash to finally get on with some B modification and upgrades.

The Brembo's will finally find their new home, after i have just had some adapter plates made..
A lathe turner over here in Cyprus who works with the Rally trade made them, at a cost of 200euro which is quite exspensive but they were made precisly to fit my brembo's and hub. The look and fit is perfect and the guy assured me they will not fail. (y).

Also I have had the rear suspension down to change the top bushes which i bought a year or two ago.. Funny Thing:rolleyes: !! I still havent used them.

The lathe guy mentioned using teflon instead so have also had these machined and fitted so should never have a rear bush problem again. :D

I will repaint the rear sub frame and parts before having all reffitted.

More pics will follow.

Some more pics, of the rear subframe, now repainted and with the new teflon top bushes, They cant be seen in the pics but the old rubber has been replaced with a solid teflon, which most rally, motorsport cars have fitted.

It may stifthen the rear end slightly but thats a good thing. Will let you know how she feels when back on the road.

Not sure i will fit the Turbo now. Its far to hot here in Cyprus and fear i will blow her engine,

I will try her with the new flywheel, fast cams and remap and see how she goes.. posible 175bhp with good torque may be enough..

WELL SEE!! .

Just managed to get the brembo's fitted today, but they are just slightly fouling the rims, because of not enough offset to them..

Will need to have the discs machined by a mil or two or add a spacer..

Aw, go on KC... fit the turbo....!! You know you want to! :D

Got to admit though you may struggle with the summer heat.....

With everything running my B can just cope with 40+C..... with any kind of problem the temp starts to rise.... ie, 2nd fan not kicking in due to a faulty connection or collecting a plastic bag that partially covers the rad... and the temp starts to rise...(n)

A turbo may be just enough to throw the temp gauge into the red if driven "enthusiasticly" but there again you could just drive it gently during august and not get the turbo to spool up..... and then have fun the rest of the year (y)

I'd like some of those window guides too..

I think it was Dave M got some made a year or so ago for about 3 euros each. Maybe drop him a pm and see if he has any left or find out where he had them made.

Hiya Steve, hope you enjoyed your stay in Cyprus.

The back axle was in reasonably good shape to begin with, there was only a few spots of surface rust and was just dusty and dirty.

A good clean/ de-grease and scrub with a wire brush and then a rub with a fine grade wet/dry paper to take the old shine off.

Then I sprayed the rear axle with high temp acrylic spray paint from a can and sealed it with a clear coat laquer.

The disks went threw a similliar procedure only i used a high temp silver spray paint.

Once the brakes run on the painted disks it will clean the surace area and leave the rest looking nice.

Oh! and the Barchetta for sale is not mine, I have spotted a blue one in limmassol though, maybe could be that one. Three years ago i asked customs and they said mine was the only one over here.

I would like to think i would have no need to sell her and eventually pass on to the kids.. LOL!

I,ll post more pics when i can. :)
