Styling KC3 Project Silver

:bang: All exited that my B is comming back from the hood specialists with a nice new mohair hood, only to find that now the windows are not lining up. :(it goes back in tomorrow to be adjusted. but the window on the new door seems to be loose.

Is there some kind of clips or runners that keeps the window in line.

Its so frustrating , I never used to have no problems b4 it was attacked, now it seems that there is lots of small niggling bits that need to be done. :bang:.

Thanks guy's ,(y)

a technician come out this morning , nearly ripped my panels and scratched the body work:mad: as he was trying to adjust without removing the panel.

I had to take over and said it would be best that he left me to remove the panel and then he could make his adjustments. once the panels where off, he could see where the adjustments screws were and now i have seen your guide can relate to how they work.

The window adjustment is a lot better now, but the only bad thing is that the plastic runner guides have been broken at some stage and so does not hold the windows tight to the rubbers. :bang:

Its the white plastic that guides the window up on the runners, their's two of them , with the bottom being intact but the top broken.
Does anyone know if these are available to buy on there own or does it mean a new window regulater.

Popped into Fiats today to ask about those plastic guides, was told that i would need to buy new complete window regulaters at a cost of £180+vat .:( , cant see why this shoud be as they look like they could be changed.

Are yours broken? if the window shakes from side to side when up it means they are too, or another test is to raise the window at speed , if it does not close to the correct position neatly under the window frame seal then that would indicate there broke too. If its nice and tight then their ok. (y)

Spotted a couple of neat looking interior lights on a Citroen estate that was breaking in the garage next door to were the B is kept.

So asked the guy about them, and he says, feel free grab what you like. :D

Managed to get three of them out with their wiring looms, and decided to mod the interior boot with light.

Quick guide on how to do this mod

1st, remove the rear plastic cover by unscrewing the four retaining screws and unplug the two cables connecting the rear tail switch.

2nd, mark out were you'd like your lights, now i did two but you could just do one.

3rd, cut out for the lights, i did this by first drilling holes roughly to the size needed and then finished them off neatly with a file.

4th, find a live feed which i found to be a yellow black wire which was live from my rear no. plate lights. i figured i would only really need a boot light to come on when its dark and my lights would be on.

5th, any light will come with two wires attached, take one and wire to the live feed, the other back through the tail switch.

6th, test to see if the lights work when the switch is depressed and that the bleeper still works.

Finally position the plastic trim back in its place and re screw, look at it and :D
now you have two original looking boot interior lights. :D
