What? Insurance companies don't rip you off. I have said numerous of times, in the 90s they lost billions (remember we're talking that sort of figure) and are only just recouping that sort of cost. Think of all the poeple you know who have had a crash....think how much they pay for insurance compared to the payout. Exactly.
If you don't declare mods then you don't have insurance so you may as well cancel your current policy, not bother getting tax and MOTs are pointless too. Should save you a fair bit.
If you have extra power under your bonnet and hit somebody and the value of the claim is serious, they will null your insurance and leave you "up **** creek without a paddle"
I find it amazing how often we get people on here with this attitude. It beats me logic that somebody would even bother getting insurance.
If however you hit me crossing a road playing with your CD player and break my spine, you will be taken to court for hundreds of thousands of pounds, if not 1mill+.
If you don't like the fact that your insurance company won't do your car up to its current standrd (like Koa), simply change company to one that will. There are plenty out there. If you aren't bothered, declare your mods and forget about it. Affording modifcations should INCLUDE the value of the insurance increase.
Just wondering if you had a crash how comical you could look pulling out the jack, replacing those aftermarket alloys, removing your induction kit etc. etc.
