Hi all,

In addition to the 11 mirrors and 4 car windscreens we found in our attic when we moved in, were these two oil paintings.

I can't find anything on T. Haws, as i think thats what it says...?

Take them to an antiques or painting expert they will surely know something, theres probably some in the yellow pages

Failing that take it on 'Dickinsons Real Deal'

some bloke found a painting in his attic of his new house, took it on there, turned down £500 from a dealer, gambled it in an auction, it sold for £1250 (10% comission had to come off so he took home about £1125)

Not a bad attic find

I'm certainly in no rush to sell them (though they'll go at some point as besides not particularly liking them, they are obviously not dear to me) so i'll dig around. I think there might be an antique dealer up the road from here - i'll go for a nose about later...

Have you had a good look with an eye glass or magnifying glass. They look like prints to me. Oil paintings don't usually have glass in the frame and they don't look like watercolours.

Check if the image is made up with thousands of tiny dots - some prints and oleographs are very convincing.
