I found a heat gun and some patience brings them up like new.

yes i know the heat gun trick. what works really well is if you coat the bumpers with a light coating of something oily. then use the heat gun on them. as it impregnates the oil back into the plastic and makes it last way longer than just heating it up.

worked on vauxhall plastics heh.

Does your dad have the drive others cars extension on his policy? I do and I rang my insurers asking if I could drive my friends car with no exsisting insurance policy on the vehicle to a testing station and they said I was covered to drive it 3rd party as long as I had the owners permission, wasnt charging for doing it and do not own the vehicle.

i do not know.
i was watching so uk police thing and a guy got caught taking a car for an MOT that did not have insurance. he said to the cops "dont worry my insurance covers other cars" the cops checked, and yep he did. but because the car has no existing insurance he got done for it :/

i still think i am going to play it safe and insure the car.

My new policy actually states that the other car must have its own insurance, as well as the usual not owned by you stuff. I think that's good as it makes things clear - about time too!!

29psi all round on the standard 145 SR13's. I pretty much default to 30psi on all the 127's & Panda's - you won't be far off

I always put 31 in.

heh I like your "cold starts" at 13 deg. celsius it's nice to live on an island ,where 13 is cold, Polish coldstarts are from minus 10 I know I know, "cold" is about the engine temp, but it sounds funny anyway

Landlocked as we are in the middle of Britain, we had minus 10, regularly, last year... (and minus 13, one night, driving up the M6 motorway, past Birmingham...)!

well cold as in the engine not being warm.. last night however i did a cold start, it was 7.c and it fired up in less than one rotation of the engine. i was well chuffed.
ringing around today trying to get temp insurance but no one wants to cover me

have a look at the picture i just did on paint using a few fonts i have acquired over the years.

i was actually working on my own word, hand drawing it. its been a long time since i actually drew anything though and it does show. not that i was any good to start with!
