will exchanges run to 20mb? last year our local exchanges were upgrading so we can run to 8mb, we still only get a 5mb maximum

Er? That is a problem for ADSL users only - me and custard are on fibre optic cable

Where I lived before, the exchange was ADSL2+ enabled, for speeds up to 24Mbit, BUT looking at my SNR and such like, it looked like I would only have been able to get 18Mbit due to the distance.

ive been checking my cable modem logs and i keep seeing an attempted and failed upgrade so assume they are working on my area just now

Tiscali have got me turned on. Only problem is, the dim person who signed me up said I didn't get a free modem/ filters (I said good, I didn't want one as I already have a modem/ router) and whaddya know, they arrived in the post this morning
