Im new to the site and think its fantastic and full of lots of great information for the future and current Bravo/a owners. My only gripe is this, ie the message board. I could be navigating it wrongly but all i see is a general board about anything and anything and very few people seem to reply to messages specific to subjects rather prefering to post new messages which in turn also get very few replies. I apologise to the mods if ive offended but what is otherwise a great site seems to be let down by this forum.
Or am i doing something wrong?

message board

I for one find this forum very helpful. Everyone is always very quick to help. Try using the search function to find a specific answer and 9 times out of ten you will find it.

Keep up the good work everyone :)

well, seeing no one has answered in the last ten mons I have a go:) This is indeed the only message board and the subject of having just one board or numerous boards dedicated to differant subjects like ICE or modding often crop up, but the majority do seem to prefer it this way as its easy to navigate and if something does get knocked off the first page, its still easy to find.
As for answers to specific questions, we do have a faily good knowledge of our cars and I can only presume that if you have asked a question and it hasnt been answered then its because nobody knows it, however, when you think how many years ownership, and how many miles the owners of these cars all combined must have travveled on this site, I doubt if you will be the first one to encounter a certain problem.

Please feel free to repost your question if you have one

Only because you were writing a novel Patrick ;)

I'm sorry you feel that way Sebasteeno, but this forum has been running like this for over 6 years now and everyone else seems to get on with it just fine :)

Strange that you feel threads do not get replies, and that members would rather start new threads.

Why strange?
Well, you recently posted on a thread with about 25 replies.

On the first index page of the forum there are threads with 41, 37, 29 and 26 replies. The average is about 8 replies per thread.

Even when talking bo**ocks, most threads get a few replies.
This one just goes to prove that. :)

@matt, actually I am thinking of writing a sex novel.......want to help with a chapter?..lol

41, 37, 29 and 26 replies????????

those are my lotto numbers:)

As i said i hope i havent offended anyone. All i meant is that i go on other car forums that seem to have a more broken down approach ie technical info, for sale(which i know u've got, its just only open to Boo members) etc which just make it a little easier to navigate.
But it seems i may be in the minority so ill shut it!

lol. you sorta lose the friendly banter when you use structured forums like that.

No i was right. This is a message board for Chavvy Bravo/brava owners so they can talk total tosh to each other about cr@p. Nobody is really of any use. I wasnt a fan of the cars to start off with, now i think theyre driven by nobs as most of you on here seem to back up.
Next time i want any help with the Bab-oh ill ask someone with an ounce of intelligence!

Seb - simple if you dont like....free sex and travel that way >>>>>>>>
But then again you could be right. There isnt one bit of useful information here on this 100 mb website combined with a forum with many years information on board. Maybe we should just fold BOO altogether and start a full on chav stylee php board where we can have countless posts in one area and nothing in a technical section.
Its the same posted here as you would find in many other forums. Difference is that you only have to look in one place here rather than trawl through many different sections.
Additionally members are more likely to see a query here and answer it rather than go to a technical section just in case anyone wants there help.
I must be one of those 'nobs' who drive these cars as you have mentioned. However, is there any specific post you are referring to that didnt get answered immediately? Or are you just making a general observation?
Figures kindly posted above that you have nothing to back up your argument. People on here are helpful when they can be. However we are not all car geeks who talk technical Bravo all the time. We like a laugh and a giggle too.

Hey mate as i said at the beginning of the thread i think the site is fantastic. But not the forum. Without any sections it just seems full of rubbish that nobody really responds too prefering to post there own random waffle.

Im sure there's plenty of people who come on here who'd prefer a proper techinal section, general info, image lounge, off topic lounge and perhaps even a chav corner just to keep everyone happy.

The sites structured brilliantly in so many ways but the forum isn't.

In my opinion of course.

Sebasteeno,

This topic has been brought up any number of times in the past, usually by noobs, and the fact of the matter is, the overwhelming majority like it how it is. I was once a vocal supporter of changing it to some php based forum, but I've been proven wrong time and again.

We stick with what the majority ask and they say they like this style.

We listen to our users, especially our paying members, and deliver the best we can :)

You have posted 2 other topics, 1 was hi i'm new here by the way who wants to buy my wheels and the other was about wheel bearings, you got 2 responses which gave you an answer of sorts,go to a motor factors for the bearings.

Whats your problem? If people can help they will, if no one has an opinion or cant help then no answer.

I have only been a member a short while. The reason I joined is because the info i get from my queries is worth the small annual membership fee.I have found the site very helpful over the last 12 months and is worth every penny of the membership fee.

well said mike^^

I must say there is a wonderfull MSM Messenger service that quite a few BOO members can be got on....

All you have to do is have a word with a few members & get to know them..... then pass on ur messenger details and then night or day there is normally some1 about who might be able to help!

Trust me, when i join BOO i thought the forum bit was a nightmare!!!!

everytime you you refresh another topic was top and your little question had moved down 5-10 places... sometimes even on the next page!!!

BUT.....

then it'd be back on top and people would give as much as they could.

you do get use to it, just takes a bit of time.... no one will mind if u keep bumping ur post if it goes onto the second page.... just remember we all have lives so not just sat on BOO 24/7!!

Thanks for comming onto BOO.... how about joining us all at a meet with a list of questions and we can then show u how to fix, swop and give some hands on help.

ps... don't go upsetting people, you find we don't become very helpfull once thats happened!! :)
