Serious question. Do you think it is too girly, I love it (I'm a bloke in his 30's) and am trying to decide if I'm making a big mistake getting one. I love it, I do think it's too small looking at times (micra-ish from the bag I hate to say) but from other angles...cool.

I'm concerned friends may wonder what I've done getting something so small, girly, etc. Most comments on reviews, etc don't say it looks like a girls car but have any of you real life reactions. etc, not people just being polite though. Bearing in mind my age what do you think.

I'm torn between it and a damn mini !! grrrrr the mini is expensive and I don't think worth the price but it's universally accepted and I know no one would look twice and a bloke in his 30's driving a mini.

Any help ?

It's a funk white with red leather, white ambience, 16" multi alloys, etc I would want. And it don't have to wait I need to decide asap

Thanks

Phil

Umm i one word "NO", I'm 37 complete with wife & two ankle biters & adore our 500. Its meant to be the wifes run about but I use any excuse to pinch the keys and go for a spin. It fits all the family in, returns 50mpg and costs little to insure & tax. People are being forced to down size there cars....why not do it with the coolest car of the moment??

Think you'll find a wide cross section of various owners on here which suggest to me that it appeals to a wide range of people not just girls!! As you quote "i know no one would look twice at a bloke driving a mini".....sort of sums up a mini these days ;)

Yoshi ;)

I don't think it looks girly in the slightest Linda has a cha cha azure 1.2 lounge and i love driving it it's just a lovely looking car so cool and much better value than the mini just do it.

My previous car was a Streetka and yes, please feel free to call it a girl's car. I don't care TBH.

I now have a 500 Sport in black and it doesn't look girly to me. Each to their own opinion.

Weird that this question came up cause I just got an email from a US Televison production company that want to use my 500 in a stunt outside a club in New York called 'Whats the best car for pulling chicks?'

With a title like that I've just got to say yes, LOL

Hmm. My motorbike mechanic said it was a "mincer's car" :D

I think mine does look a bit girly with the Italia side stripe. I might have to change that for the sport stripe or remove it all together!

Who cares anyway. I feel smug getting 60mpg.

there's 2 cars and the other is a new Ferrari (or so the script that they sent me says) and there are 2 presenters, one of which has to do a forfit if his car is least popular outside a New York NightClub...

You couldn't make this stuff up, LOL!

I've got white stripe on black, you already saw it at Auto Italia.

Best of 59mpg on motorway for me (nearly 1400 miles now) - wooo hoooo

So what if it is a girls car ?

I ordered mine last July to much derision form the wife and 10 year old son. I have a BMW 335 convertible, wife has a Golf GTI and we argue over who is going to take the Fiat. My son thinks its great and his mates and teachers at school went mad over it when I first took him to school in it, people either get it or they don't. Those that don't ? Just ignorant.

I have used it for 260 mile commutes to London, short journeys, everything and it is the only car I have ever owned that never fails to make me smile, it is just brillaint.

GO AND GET IT ORDERED !!!!!
