Oh so your the one that uses it haha. Only kidding. I'm yet to use Windows phone 8 so can't judge but when using windows phone 7 on a limit I found it overly big. For example the fonts and screen menus where huge and took up more space then necessary, and the Nokia screens are good so there's no need to make them that big. That make sense?

I dont think 8 is out in the UK yet unless i missed it. I personally like the big fonts and buttons etc it just makes the phone easily useable. what constitutes more space then necessary? what else would go in the space they take up?

IMO they dont need to cram a ton of stuff on the screen and with the panoramic apps having lots of options etc isn't a problem.

Then why upgrade to the 5 for the same phone. Get a better contract and stick with the old one?

Because the new one has much more power and 2/3 more RAM . Its going to be running 1/4 of the ram my macbook pro is. Its gonna be awesomely fast.
People argue that the Iphone has less processor speed and RAM than the leaders but locking it down about means it works and you cant ridiculously slow it down with ****. Day to day performance will way out do the Samsungs and HTC's.

exactly!

I only noticed the other day that my iPhone4 was running 23 different apps in the task manager, and i never noticed... so thats no slowing, no performance issues.

couldnt do that with my Sony Xperia..

Yes they suspend in the background and they do take a second or so to switch but i think this is over all a bonus as the phone doesnt slow down much.
Things do run in the background and i can drain my I4 down to about 30mb of free ram. But this is jailbroken and doing crap that it wasn't designed to.

very true, at the end of it all it comes down to personal preference. I will say panoramic Apps always sounds so delightful lol,

Exactly. People simply don't like it because they're used to smaller text. Is smaller text actually better? :)

Going by that logic you should go with a Windows Phone then. Locked down so it's fast, but not silly expensive...... ;)

the HTC WP8's look awesome!
