I didn't start this, this started at the beginning of the thread with the general bitterness towards people's choices? And I'd also like to note that I didn't dish anything out. It's not wrong to have opinions but to push abuse at people for this opinions is very bad indeed. Bigger examples in the world are racism/ sexism etc, yeh this is no where near as bad and I'm not comparing it. But it is still offensive to be calling people names and judging someone just because they have iPhones? Is this not right?

Not meaning about sims but about OS updates. e.g. Samsung sticking their interface on top of Android.
Anyway after all the flaming I think we can probably say that the Apple route suits some people. Such as those who want a stable, non operator tied system and are prepared to pay the extra for this eco system
Android suits a lot who either want cheaper devices/and or prefer the open source/free to do what you like route which was many advantages but a few disadvantages (to some) of possibly being less secure and less official updates.

Whilst I'm not the best behaved person on the forum by far, I've realised over the last 11 years of posting on forums and tens of thousands of posts, that the above is right.
The moderators here are the moderators and no matter how much you whine and bitch you won't change that fact. Whining publicly will always make things worse.
If you don't like something then report it, don't like the way the mods do their job? Then there's the door. I guess you'll have an app to find your way to the door......
Not strictly true. If anyone feels a moderator is abusing their position they can escalate it past the mods directly to Ben via the contact us page. Mods don't even know it's happened, unless Bens feels the need to mention it.

I did think of saying that, but I felt it made my post seem clumsy. My point was though, that people are generally happy with the way the moderation is done and there is little or nothing that needs to be done. The only mod I ever had issues with isn't one anymore so I'm happy.....
I can't help but feel that this thread has become less about phones and more "my god is better than your god" and millennia of fighting has taught us, that's never going to end well, or indeed end.
