I have a 2001 1.6 petrol engined multi and have an irritating 'intermittant' fault which puts on the engine mgt light. I have a fault reader gadget and it reads out 2 faults - PO115 water temperature sensor and PO 130 (O2 sensor fault). The two faults have appearsed in tandem 3/4 times now.
There is no problem driving and no hestaiition or other issue I can detect - I have recently changed the CAT (due to a disintegrating manifold flange on the original one) and put in a couple of new O2 sensors (in the exhaust manifold) - I broke the orinal one in getting it out!
Once I clear the faults, they do return at intermittant intervals - varying from a few days to a few weeks. I have read there may be issues with spurious 'error' messages created if the battery is not brand new - mine is a couple of years old, but holds the charge well.
Has anyone experioenced this before and got any suggestions of what the problem may be?
Thanks,
Roger
