Looked at this week's Autocar which contained a very interesting piece about VAG's attempted takeover of Fiat Chrysler, a plan thwarted at the last hurdle by VAG's financial issues !!
Very interesting to see was the average profit breakdown per car by brand - Seat loses on average £300 per car sold, V & Skoda make an average £6-700 per car and the profits come from Audi, Porsche & Bentley....biggest surprise was the revelation that the Eos, Scirocco and Up!/Citigo?whatever need to be discontinued due to losses - finally the proliferation of models for everyone is coming home to roost. Nice to see an arrogant colossus suffering a little embarrassment for a change, might silence the fanboys with luck.
