Hello.
Can anyone help with information on how to access fault codes on Bosch mono motronic fitted to my 1999 1.4 Fiorino MK2. The red malfunction light on.

Thanks.

MultiECUScan (MES) is actually an application for windows PCs and there is a version on the Apple Store for iPhone/iPad.

Like all PC based diagnostic programs then additional hardware is required to communicate with the car. Much of this is exaplianed on the MES Page http://www.multiecuscan.net/HowToUse.aspx

MES can be bought as software only in which case you have to purchase the hardware separately or the are recommended suppliers who can software and hardware as a package or just the hardware.

In the UK the recommended supplier is Gendan Ltd https://www.gendan.co.uk/ although there are other suppliers/sources for the hardware.

For your vehicle you only need the KL/VAG-COM interface and the 3-pin adapter and the link Robert gave in his post, which he vouches for should do you fine.

A quick update on the progress of my quest for access to the error codes. I purchased the EOBD adapter as per the link and downloaded the app (free version) which has given me basic access to the ECU. It's not the easiest to install and is a little glitchy. Also the adaptor came with no instructions, so I had to work out for myself, but is a worth while tool to have.
