Technical instrument cluster failure

Hi.
The speedo,rev counter and fuel guage on my Marea TD125 no longer function. The coolant temperature guage and all the idiot lights still function.
Has anyone any idea what might be the cause of this?

Hi d.mcg and welcome to our forum

The speedo and temp guage share the same fuse and earth point so its not that obvious. They use different plugs on the console so it could be a loose connection.

The only other commom item I can think of is the ECU.

Check your console connections first. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

mine did that. I found that the large plug of wires under the bonnet on the top of the engine just behind the rocker cover(about 10 wires )was the problem.i unplugged it cleaned it with contact cleaner and it has been ok since.it was the cause of my code key not being found also.try it, it may work

ok np it worked on mine
