I have a couple of dead tell-tale lights in the instrument cluster - sidelights, left-indicator, and rear-fog.

I have removed the cluster from the car but cannot work out how to get further inside it to replace the bulbs.

There are four phillips screws on the back which allow the rear cover to come off. After that, the front section (comprising the clear acrylic and surrounding trim) is prevented from coming off by the 2/3 buttons on either side - these look like they should unclip but I'm wary of snapping them. The board on the rear is held on by some white plastic clips around the edge, but also by 7 metal terminals coming from the LED screen surround.

Any tips would be gratefully received!

Here's how to take it apart

There are LEDs soldered onto the PCB, no bulbs

More than one failing will almost certainly be a damaged track due to damp getting in at some time

Thank you; that certainly pushes it into the "probably not going to bother" category 😁

Unfortunately we see a few, although fairly rare

Almost always due to.wet carpets from blocked scuttle drains (duck bills) very common, sometime in the cars past

It's normally years or decades before the fault appears

Good new is you can just swap the dash, but if you are going to reset the milage to stop it flashing all the time, the dash has to be at a lower milage

Hobby software such as miltiecuscan proxi alignment can only correct upwards for obvious reasons

Professional software can reset it to anything
