I have a 2011 Ducato MH 130 multijet. Recently returning from France the amber engine management light came on. When I checked in book it said Injection system failure but said I could continue with journey. Performance wasn't altered in low gears but loss of power on hills and higher gears. Continued home at mostly 50mph (slower up hill).
Our mechanic checked injectors and they were fine but suggested it could be Turbo Boost sensor.
Before buying that part we had someone check for fault codes and these came up:p0403 EGB electrovalve - P0638 Motorised throttle unit -P0135 Oxygen sensor heating relay control.
I was told to enter the codes together to find fault! Non of the above appear to have anything to do with the injection system, or do they?
Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem or has had similar problems.
Thank you

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Engine management light is right, it doesn't necessarily mean an injector fault just that the engine management (ECU) has detected a fault(s). What did you use to read the codes? As far as home systems go, MultiECUScan will do it all so I'd be inclined to get that on there first to confirm the codes and get exact readouts of what the ECU is seeing.
Assuming those 3 codes are valid though, they're not exactly related and for them all to appear simultaneously seems unlikely, pointing to a potential wiring fault or that some of them might be old codes.

Hi and thank you for your reply. Im not sure what equipment was used to find the fault codes as this was done by a friend. I believe he did say that the codes were for a Peugeot but would be the same! Maybe I need to recheck the code with someone/something else.

Thank you very much. That would be amazing if there was someone local with MES. I would be very happy to pay for there time etc. I have a fear of Main dealers having spent over a £1000 on a different vehicle once which was wrongly diagnosed and never put right.(n)

Well you have two options:

1) I'll happily read the fault code(s) but would just need to know your exact Ducato model to check if it is covered by MES. I'm just off the M27 Junction 7.

2) Small Car Services (@burrowsdeano / http://www.smallcarservices.co.uk/ is around 5 miles from M27 Junction 7

With regards to Dean then he used to work for Dock Gate Fiat and they were commercial so he has plenty of experience with Ducatos etc.

If you contact Dean then please mention me, Nick :)

Thank you very much thats very kind of you. Hopefully I have found a local mechanic that can find the fault. Not silly price for diagnosing and I will take it from there. If I don't have any luck I will message you if thats okay.
Thanks again
