Tuning Induction

Im Getting my MultiJet remapped in january/february and am wanting an induction kit before getting it done. I know GSR arnt about anymore and hard to come by but has anyone tryed the K&N kits?
Im not after huge gains just help it breath a little better and get a better sound from the turbo? What sort of sound do they give out, Similar to dump/waste gate?

They sound like a bag of bolts and make the enigne sound really rough.

James 1989 had the forge one on before he sold his gp, ask him what it was like, pretty sure they are MUCH better than a K&N induction kit.

No it won't.

I had one of the original GSR induction kits for the 1.9 Mjet and it was quite a lot of fun. My car was remapped and had quite a loud turbo to start with, but it gave a nice "tish" on downchanges. Was quite loud though....

Thanks for all the replys, Think i might make my own. Does anyone know what forge are like for tuning? I e-mailed them and they said for £550 they will remap and fit an intercooler on my mjet, How much power do they usually achieve and are they any good.

I've got an induction kit om going to be selling after Xmas. If you search for alex's thread about a bespoke induction kit you can find info there! It's not gsr or forge but seems to e nearly as good! Pm me for details

i have one of the alex's induction kits on my car and thats the only engine mod and i had my car on the rolling road earlier in the year and its running at 141.6bhp with 299nm of torque with just a £90 home made induction kit! its very satisfing hearing the noise once youve fitted it to your car and know its your work and your going to get a gain out of it and a nice noise

Its not a "GSR" made kit, but is the exact same as the GSR in terms of size, angles etc.
