right so looking more closely there is a small gap between the cat and arb, maybe about 5mm at most, as far as answering the question of does it sit lower im pretty sure that its sat higher than the cinq arb looking in from the gearbox mount it only just drops lower than that

heres some pics

this was as level as i could get to the rear g/b mount

EDIT: there is a slight knock when driving obviously where the engine moves so i guess ive got the excuse i needed to convince the missus to let me tigerseal the mounts up :D

And it will still knock as your arb has exactly the same clearance as mine had before i remade the exhaust(see abarth thread for new clearance mate) and all my mounts are tiger sealed:D

well its an excuse to make a new exhaust up and a de-cat:devil::devil:

gonna get the mounts tigersealed anyway and maybe make a 1 piece straight through pipe from downpipe to back box and keep the standard set up in the shed for mot times

On, or on dim?

Dim on mine was the diodes were knackered (it's actually flashing very quickly, but an incandescent bulb can't keep up).

Well it's now settled and gone from not starting at all to starting better than ever but I have a dim battery light on

Also found that the earth clip had come off and until I reconnected that the battery light didn't come on

I noticed a few weeks back that I didn't have a battery check light when I turned the key to position one but put it down to a faulty bulb

Does this mean I need a new alt or is it A part I can get and fit myself

Cheers

I bought a reconned one from a shop in Cheadle, and they gave me a partial refund when I took the old one back in... yep Cheadle around 200 miles west.

The weather ain't too bad? Which Yarmouth have you been in today? :p

Nah, I'm trying to get a bit of work here done, then I need to get to bed for a 6am alarm, ta anyway.

Windy, windy and rainy, then bright hot sun, then cold again. Not quite last Sunday, when it was sunny and hot enough to walk the dog without a coat or jumper, then hard rain, then sun again with thunder, then hail with thunder and lightning.

Well i got my fk springs today :D and there on :D not as low as I was expecting but it's got a great stance now and doesn't smash itself to pieces on speed bumps

I'm not gonna put any pics up yet tho as I plan on getting some good ones on Saturday at brooklands

Alternator turned out to be the thinner black wire had shaken loose plugged back in and all was fine I've had it checked at a local reconditioning company and its charging just below what it should with just a dim battery light on he said that one of the diodes have gone but its charging good (13.5v @ idle with lights wipers and heater all on full) its a job on the list for next week and at 40 quid for a rebuild I'm not gonna complain

I'm after a dowpipe or flange for as cheap as possible or free if anyone has one
