Hi guys,

Wanting to get a McKrich chip, but it disables the Imobillisor. I currently have a bog standard Toad alarm, not sure which model as it came with the car.

Can i get a new imobillisor? Or do i need to get a new alarm with it?

does he not, thought he offered that?

edit
The "Universal Chip" which disables the immobiliser these can be fitted to any 1108 or 1242 spi fire engine. These are £45.

The "Specific Chip" for Cinquecento and Seicento only, these keep the immobiliser active and are coded to the specific model range. These are £55. I need the code printed on the label on the original chip inside the ECU. If you let me have your email address I will send you instructions to remove and open up the ECU.

this is direct from michael but guess its different on the punto somehow?

anyway if you want ot keep your car as OE spec then it has to be a thatcham 2.
ive used toad in the past with no problems at all.think its was about £100 fitted

Cheers Custard,

I'll ask him again as this might have changed, (i thought the chips were the same). If he cant then i'll just get a new alarm then.

And thanks for the quick reply.

Finally got the immobilisor fitted, now just need to remember to disarm it when i want to drive....
