Not sure if this applies to Multipla's only but recently my alarm was playing up and sounding 2 beebs even after i had set the alarm from the keyfob in the normal way.
Having spoken to the parts man at Fiat he sugested that it could be one of the door switches no longer making contact.
All 4 door switches seemed ok, the problamatic tailgate microswitch seemed ok which left the bonnet switch as the only probable cause.
Purely by luck i had the bonnet up because i was just doing some basic checks when underneath the bonnet lid i noticed that there was a piece of plastic with a hole in it, it suddenly made sense. The bonnet switch at the front wasn't making contact because of this broken piece of plastic. Hopefully the 2 pics will explain.
