Fiat Punto MK2b Remote Central Locking Issue

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2004 (04 plate) 1.9 Multijet HGT Punto. I bought it with only one key as the remote key had been lost. Today I have had an aftermarket RCL kit fitted by a local auto electrician because I didn't really fancy attempting it myself, and it seems to be working absolutely great....apart from only the rear indicators on the car flash when it is locked/unlocked and not the front ones! I only noticed this after he had gone.

I understand that this really isn't the end of the world but it's just very annoying, is there any quick and easy fix for this? If so which cables need to go where?

What alarm was fitted? Was it a canbus interfaced alarm

Doesn't sound like it is tbh. Who supplied it

Hi,

It's not an alarm, it is just an aftermarket RCL kit. I think its called a 'Universal Keyless Entry System' they sell them on eBay or Amazon for about 30-40 quid.

Are the indicators on this model of Punto on separate circuits or something?

The cars electrical system is controlled by a CANbus system, this system that has been fitted with the car isn't fully compatible, a tad worrying that a compident auto electrician didn't tell you this and bodged it in.

Oh right ok, well having said that, if I just ignore the fact that the front indicators don't flash, it should work alright yeah? Thanks for your help!
