Hi all,
I've got a 2005 Multipla. Over the weekend the key fob started to go a bit non responsive activating and deactivating the alarm and central locking. I replaced the battery in the key and now it doesn't work at all. Also the alarm is active so if I open the door with the key the alarm goes off! Any ideas guys? :what:

Forgot to say the red LED no longer lights up.

UPDATE. Just opened the key and took the circuit board out and it look as if the button has collapsed as it has no natural spring.

I have a spare key that works perfectly, but is not paired up to the alarm / central locking system. I take it from reading other posts it's a fiat job only?

a decent auto locksmith should be able to do it,
assuming you've got the CODE

normally costs £80 / £100 for a cut and code,
so just plugging in for 10 mins should be quite reasonable,

No, I don't have the CODE card, never came with the car. :(

personally - if you're paying someone to reset it,
I would get a 2nd good used key from UK ebay,
then you've got 2 (3?) chances of getting a result for your £40 plug-in fee,

the CODE from FIAT could take a couple of days..,

IF you're stuck at the roadside.., call AA / RAC for assistance ; - ),
