Hi this is my first post. I have a Fiat ducato 1.9td motorhome 2000 W reg.
The problem is that when the engine gets hot after long mileage and I turn off the ignition.
When I put the key back in and try to start the engine the key light stays on and the engine won't start. The only way to start it is to remove the battery terminals for ten minutes and then reconnect. I only have two black keys and no code. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi. And welcome.

I had a similar issue. There will be a relay somewhere that audibly clicks to deactivate the immobiliser.
Listen carefully to locate it..

Mine did it when COLD..

Hi thanks for the information. Do I listen for the click when I turn the key to start? Also where are the relays? And do I replace the one that clicks? Sorry to sound stupid.

It will click as it turns off the immob. I always wait for all the IDIOT LIGHTS to go out before starting. Its at that point youll hear it click.

On my estate it was in the dash. Glovebox area.

Found by listening...

Check it clicks NOW ..AT COLD

then when it plays up..SEE IF IT STILL CLICKS
