General  ice inside car

My MJ With no A/C was caked in ice on the inside of the windscreen only but no other windows the other day def no damp inside the car, carpet as dry as a bone.

Pretty sure its nothing to do with the air conditioning and whether you have it on or off. Its only the naturally ocurring water vapour in the air condensing on the windscreen due to the low temperatures at the moment. The temperature is lower than the dew point of the air in the car.

Normally I never have a problem with this but its been happening in the Panda and the wife's Touran every morning this week, mind you I don't think its been above -6C!

This sounds the most plausable to me, how else could it be happening to the interior of a dry car with no A/C!

Does possition of where car is parked affect it?

I had an incident in mine Tuesday night. So borrowed a Friends 2002 Fiesta and that got ice on the inside of the windscreen. Parked it same place I normally park mine on the drive and that never normally gets ice on the inside of windscreen.

Both cars ft AC.

But back weekend before last I defrosted my car at 2245hrs in the evening at work. Defrosted screens by letting engine run. Then left 35 min later, so in car and inside of the screen was dripping with water (which would have frozen if I hadn't then gone home (n)

Jon.

My Alfa GTV screen can suffer with this problem, I thought that it was just because of it's low angle.

It does have 'manual' aircon which does work even in these low temperatures, it sure sucks the moisture of the screen/out of the air as soon as I switch it on, it's just not very fast or particularly good at it.:)
