The fact that we got from splitters to dissing Andys car again seems all to common.....

Alot of you say his car is wrongly setup and that the TB's are to big or face the wrong way but fact of the matter is his car was running 117BHP@7261rpm, and that figure was taken when the car was not even run in.
Most of the turbo owners or wanna be turbo owners diss this car way more than it deserves.. why? maybe because Turbo is the common thing to do on a cinq now and very uncool, or that a N/A car out pases your high boost conversions, whatever the reason give it a break.. 2 years of work went into that car and so I respect him for doing that and creating a truly unique engine!

:D As i said, id buy it, if it worth 15k or not!

ok ok.....so you`d turn away a cheap turbo because they are common and uncool?? a common thing......i dont see many turbos knocking around tbf. 1242`s a common thing.

how does the N/A car out pass the turbo?? it may have 117bhp but its got the same torque as a low boost conversion.... look at sam`s hi boost, it made 110bhp and 120 odd ft-lbs of torque...i know exactly what i`d rather have and im sure others will agree.

dont get me wrong i love tb`s but the figures say it all really.

your also telling me you would part with 15 grand for a sei......

When undertaking an engine conversion of that style it takes time, money and alot of effort, no one can disagree there that the 2 years spent on that car has paid off well and the engine is excellent, and the quality seems to be top notch!

So when people think to themselves as they sit at the computer screen looking at FiatForum getting ideas for an engine conversion, most think 1242cc straight swop (y) spot on, and it is.... it gives increases in torque and BHP.
Thats not the point though that I am trying to make, when you sit at the computer thinking I am going to produce one of the fastest Seicento's I can then it starts getting expensive.... To do the same type of conversion of that quality would cost you more than £15,000, I know you dont have the fun of building it yourself and sitting at the end thinking wow its taken me 2 years but I have a xxx BHP xxx Torque Seicento here, with top notch suspension and brakes.... Fact is what I am trying to say is 15k is a bargain if your thinking of doing this type of conversion!

Plus.... As far as it goes the 120 lb/ft of torque on the Turbo... So what? everyone turbos, its very unoriginal, at least Andy went for something that stands out...

Bloody hell adam you made your point, we agree andys car is a good un, we agree there are other good versions also. Lets close the subject in saying everyone has made valid points which arent discounted or rejected in any way.

Back to original topic me think, for the benefit of the original poster :)
