i read that advancing engine timing would give me more bhp

so I advanced it 360 degrees to get the most power I could, but it feels exactly the same as before

Maybe 360.5 degrees would have made all the difference

Well 360 would be the exact same position as before! is this possible i know i use to do it on the old ford CVH engines in the 90's but only a fraction, all it did then was make the car run slightly richer so you got less mpg and not much more go, i wouldn't bother just get a re-map.
