Guys needs your quick wisdom check

Ordered 2x Tyres and they have arrived no problem....

However - i have a feeling they've supplies me with 2 left tyres.... not a 2 fronts

The left tyre is correct - ie it chuck water out to the as it follows the curve
However the Right hand side one looks like it takes on water, which cant escape....

Is this right?
These are marked Inside and outside - both are setup as they would be on a car....

They dont have a left or right on them

They literally only have Inside and outside

So the left hand tyre to me looks like it's suck water in.... rather than out
No direction on them either

Confused....

doesn't look too good.., BUT I'm not 100% sure,

what brand / model..??

maybe do a search of web outlets to see what options there are..!!

Uniroyal Rainsport3 185/55/15 82V

They have inside and out side marked, which is what my picture is setup as

Apprently its fine, other people have questioned it, but im not sold....

Nope that is correct. Should have gone for directional tyres if you're that OCD ;)

Does it have an arrow on the side denoting direction of travel

No directional arrows - Just inside and outside

blame the eu with their pressure on tyre makers to aim for more mpg and noise reduction

The only reason i went for these is because they were
A Cheap
B Really good reviews for wet and dry driving

Sod noise - i've got my stereo on

Well i couldnt put my mind at ease
I emailed Camskill where they came from :)

within 5 - 10mins i had an email back
They sent me a image document which has helped, which uniroyal send :)

Rainsport 3.gif

Its not a large image, you need to blow it up

But basically - even through the tread appears to be the wrong way, this doesn't affect water flow :)

That can't be right.

Left //// would push water out.

Right \\\\ would draw water in.

This would mean you aquaplane on the right but the left cuts making the car unbalanced and potentially spin out.

Despite being right, that would wind me up lol

I like my maxxis tyres, symmetrical is nice :D

what are they like in the very wet? i see drifters like them but they want to go sideways:confused:

I think I'm preferring the old Rain Sport 2 but they had high noise and low fuel efficiently so didn't score well on a fridge sticker :bang:

They do a drift version of that exact tyre, mine are MAZ1 instead of MAZ1 Drift. I think anyway :p

In the wet or dry (At least in 175/50 13) nothing comes close for the price, they fill the gap between Nankangs and Yokohamas and grip like the latter :slayer:

Edit: Think they had a 'C' rating for wet grip, tad noisier than the sonars I had on 14's but much quieter than the nankangs I have on the rear. Although on nice tarmac piece of road they're pretty much silent :)
