reason i ask is im unsure if i still have the 1.4 pump on after all this time :s Last time on the original engine i couldnt reach past 130 whilst others have reached 140+ and also my car is still having idling problems under 1k revs.

it may have got swapped over but i feel now i want to test it and make sure.

Thanks
Mike

mikey if u had a 1.4 pump u wont rev past 4000revs, remember when i realised i had a 1.4 pump in?

only way to test is by putting an inline fuel preasure gauge in

its got nothing to do with what they rev up to, the 1.4 only has a single point injection, which means the fuel pump only puts out 1.3 bar or something like that, the 1.6, 1.8 2.0 etc is a multipoint injection which puts out 3.0 bar or preasure hense why the 1.4 pump runs out of steam at about 4k revs...im very sure that james would hav put the 2ltr pump in considering he owns his own car garage...

sorry, was different wave length then lol wasnt quite sure bout the amount of bar etc

Well thats exactly what i thought,i doubt he would have left the 1.4 pump on...just some1 mentioned it so just thought id ask :)
