How to replace Fiat Doblo Audio system?

Hi anybody can help me?, I want to change the standard Fiat Doblo Radio Cassette player with a new CD player, but I do not know how to remove the radio cassette player from the dash board, . Any screw/ clip that I need to undo?

Usualy two small holes each side of cassette housing, a coat hanger releases the catch, them pulls out,Halford sells the right tools for about three quid , regards bucca.

We replaced the CD unit in our doblo for a radio/minidisc unit............but in doing so we lost all the info on the display screen on dashboard.

Aparently it would cost a furtune to change wiring to fit another to have info working

I was cheeky and asked the salesman bloke how to do it as I didnt want a cassette player he said he would 'throw in a free cd player' didnt expect it to be a free £170 odd kenwood

I went ot Motorworld and they replaced it with a motorised Panasonic CQ-C5395N model cd player and i watched him do it for future reference. He had 2 u shape bits of metal that clipped in the left and right side of the player and it just pulled out. He then fitted the wiring loom that came with the new stereo onto the old wiring with a white connector and slotted back the new stereo. I was told that fitting a new one was awkward cos there is not enought room to fit another and the wiring as well. But he did it in 4 minutes. I timed him. So now i have a really good stereo with cd player and loads of base. LOvely

I new to the Doblo and am getting frustrated by radio not switching off when I lock car. Do I have to switch manually every time? Does new Panasonic switch off on switching engine off ? Any problems with display etc?

do you mean the Fiat radio or have you fitted the Panasonic?

When i switch the panasonic off it stays off. if i leave the radio on and switch the engine off it turns off but when i switch the engine back on it switches on automatically.If the radio is switched off before i switch the engine off it stays off when i switch the engine on again. Its a good sound as well.

That sounded a bit Irish didnt it, hope you understood it
