I have a 1.4 8v Fiat Grande Punto Dynamic 06 reg in very good condition, apart from my key, which is slowly falling apart bit by bit. Anyone know where I can get a new key cover, or how to go about getting a whole new key from Fiat?

You can get a new key body from eBay for pretty cheap, for a whole new key from Fiat is gonna cost you big time.

Do you know how to change the key body?
I think it's a case of playing it by ear. If your key is still complete this will be the best thing to try first, certainly the cheapest option.
Empty gp key fob cover from ebay mate, then its just a case of pulling both key covers apart and just swapping it over and everything should be fine.

I've looked for covers they all seem to be for the newer puntos, none for the 05-10 models
Same key on other Fiat models, search about. If yours in the rectangular key then bear in mind there are 2 types.

Got the key from eBay during the week and tried transferring the electronics and metal key part over but the original is a lot fatter than the one the new key came with. Will try and get the new cut but not optimistic that it'll work. I'll update when I've got it done.

The differences isn't only the colour, more how the rear goes together I believe.

Nope everything is pretty much the same, obviously it isn't the quality of the stock key from Fiat, and I had to do some filling of the plastic inside to get the circuit board to fit, but definitely worth doing if your key is falling apart like mine was!
