Theres a weird very loud ticking buzzing sound when trying to start my grande punto (2006). Battery tested 12,4 volts, power turns on fine and everything was fine until it suddenly just would not start up. Someone already suggested that it might be that the immobilizer has kicked in for some reason. Thought i would ask some opinions from here if anyone has faced similar issue

Im not hearing any sound coming from the fuel tank area, just the dash/under the hood.

Sounds like electrical problem: bad main earth/ground lead + weak battery. And corrosion in the fuse/relay box on top of that (icing on the cake).
Then we can mess with the: starter, ignition switch, body computer, fuel pump etc.
