Where in the country are you dude? Am quite prepared to help if not too far :)

re

take them out of box,

remove all wrapping etc.

put them in the bin!!

you are much better off spending your wedge on some components.

Im in derby! well i got them for 10 squid so not like i spent alot! wat makes u say the though allan?

K, far too far away, if you got the box with the speakers they should have a template for you to get the size of the hole right, if not you'll need to keep checking the holes you cut for size.

re

a 6x9 is firstly the wrong shape to be an effective speaker.

also they try to do the job of a sub and a mid range speaker in one go. but they will never succeed well.

if you dave up and get even a chepa sub and components you have a speaker designed for its individual role not trying to do too much.

i hate these do called sound-off cars that have 6 6x8's in the boot, its just so high pitched and distorted when it gets loud.

i guess they are ok if you never plan on turning it up very loud.

well im not really planning on anything other than new HU and of new front speakers cuz it aint something i consider worth spending loads of money on!
@matt its the wiring i am gonna have problems with more than anything else if u can help with that? cheers

Where are you planning on mounting the speakers and are you going to be running them off an amp?

Lozz

ok as mentioned above you will need to cut out holes on the parcel shelf and make up some MDF rings to sit under the shelf to screw the speakers down too, does your car have rear speakers? if so then just disconnect them and extend the wires to reach the 6x9's

Lozz

Cheers lozz that just what i wanted to hear! makes it easier!
thanks all!

remember to not mix up the + and - terminals.
If you get stuck im in derby if need help

what happens if u get them the rong way round coz it sounds the same?

re

i don;t think you'll notice with cheap speakers liek that as long as both sides are the same.

if they are the wrong way round a speaker is pushing when it shoudl be pulling etc so if each speaker was different you can get distortion.
